Continuing Our Mission of Hope: Returning to the North Once Again

About three years ago, My organization and I extended a arm of compassion to the elderly and impoverished people of Northern Ghana.

Our journey took us to Kafaba, in the Gonja land, where a 90-year-old woman was once wrongly accused of witchcraft and lost her life. That experience inspired us to take action. To stand for the voiceless and restore dignity to the elderly who have been abandoned or mistreated.

During that outreach, my team and i organized community sensitization programs and provided food and essential items to aged individuals and struggling families. The turnout was overwhelming, with people from different parts of Damongo and nearby communities joining the cause. We left that day filled with gratitude, knowing that even a small act of kindness could make a huge difference in someone’s life.

But our work didn’t end there.

A New Mission Ahead: Gushegu Witches Camp

Once again, we are setting out on another mission, this time to the Gushegu Witches Camp, one of the most unheard-of places on earth. This camp shelters elderly women who have been accused of witchcraft and cast out of their homes. These are grandmothers who have lived most of their lives in pain, isolation, and fear, simply because of false beliefs and stigma.

Our goal for this outreach is simple but powerful: to restore hope, dignity, and care to these women. We will be providing them with:

  • Medical supplies and essential drugs

  • Food and drinks

  • Hygiene and sanitation materials

  • Logistics and transportation support

  • Human and financial assistance

We are driven by one belief, that no elderly person deserves to live in fear or hunger, and that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect.

We Can’t Do This Alone

Every visit, every item we donate, and every smile we help create is possible because of people who believe in what we do. As we prepare for this next journey to Gushegu, we’re calling on all who share our passion for elderly welfare to join us.

Your support, whether financial, moral, or even in words of encouragement means the world to us and the people we serve.

If you’d like to be part of this movement, or contribute in any way, please reach out to us via our official email: khadi4theaged@gmail.com

Together, we can make sure no elderly person is left behind. Together, we can keep spreading hope, one act of kindness at a time.
